"Lost in the Echo" is the first song on Linkin Park's Living Things album. Mike Shinoda wrote his words. The clip of the song was taken 1 week after single release. In the clip, a teenager searches for people by showing them a photograph of the people they lost. However, after entering the song, he sees the people he has called come out of the picture and suddenly appear. As the song progresses, the people they seek to turn into dust as the song progresses while carrying the joy and surprise of reaching them. The lead singer of Linkin Park, Chester Bennington, in an interview saying, "Why does the song really contain?" Sometimes you want to stay away from them. The clip was taken by Joe Hahn as in all other Linkin Park clips. The first live performance took place on the Jiffy Lube stage as part of the Honda Civic Tour tour on 11 August 2012.
