Lawrence Gene "Larry" David (born July 2, 1947) is an American actor, writer, comedian, producer and director. In 1989, together with Jerry Seinfeld, they created the Seinfeld series, and David was the lead author and producer of the series. In 1993, David won an Emmy Award for Best Comedy Series. In 1999, HBO created Curb Your Enthusiasm and portrayed a fictional version of himself. Formerly a stand-up comedy, David lived in a television comedy with ABC's Fridays, which he also wrote for Saturday Night Live. The British TV channel, Channel 4, was named the twenty-third largest comedian of all time in the Comedienne's Comedian poll.
